Adding a table of content is easy for you if you are using wordpress for blogging as it can be done with the help of plugins, but when you are using blogger (Blogspot) then there are no plugins available.

If you are using wordpress then it is easy for you to add table of contents with the help of plugins, but in blogger, there is no default option to do this.

So, in this article, we will discuss the easy way to add table of contents to blogger. In this method, we are going to use some html tags to add table of contents in blogger blog posts.

Step 1: First we need add headings to the blogpost after writing it. you can do it easily by headings section in the blogger toolbar.

Step 2: Open your post in html view, and there you will see from <h1> to <h6> tags in your headings

Step 3: And now we need to add a unique identity in every heading, we will use the "id" attribute to do the same.

Step 4: After giving every heading a unique id , type the table of contents as normal text in your blogpost. you can change colors to design it.

Step 5: After that we will add links to the table of contents.

Step 6: Select any heading of table of contents and click on the 'Link' option in blogger toolbar.

Step 7: Then in the Web address feild, type your blog post permalink and after it type # with your unique id that you have given to the headings of the blogpost, like, in this post, we have used ''1'' as unique id, you can use any letters or numbers as a unique id. And after doing this, press OK.

Step 8: Now repeat this process with every headings of your blog post.

After that update your article and you will see the Table of contents working in your Post.


So, In this way, you can easily add Table of contents in your Blogpost on blogger platform. you can also use some CSS codes to style it.
