Google search console [earlier google webmaster tools] is a free tool offered by google which will help you to submit your site to google and display it in the search results. It helps you to make your website easily got indexed and crawled.
In other websites, like wordpress, we can submit the sitemap with the help of plugins.
In this article, we will discuss the quick and easy way to add a sitemap to Google search console in Blogger.

What is A Sitemap?
for this, first we need to understand what a sitemap file is,A Sitemap is an xml file which is a directory of all web pages that exist on your blog or website, It helps the search engines to discover your site's pages that are not crawled during regular crawling. In short, Sitemap is a directory of all the URLs that your blog have.
Here we have a step by step guide on how to submit your Blogger sitemap to google search console.
In other websites, like wordpress, we can submit the sitemap with the help of plugins.But in blogger, The XML sitemap is automatically generated, So we have to add the xml sitemap to Google search console. Here are two quick and methods that we will use to submit the sitemap.
Method 1: With the Sitemap xml file

Step 1 : Sign in to Google Search console
Step 2 : Select your Website for which you want to submit the sitemap
Step 3 : Go to Sitemaps section.
Step 4 : There add 'Sitemap.xml' right After your Blog homepage URL ending
for example: https://Bloggingsketch.com/sitemap.xml
Step 5 : Click on submit Sitemap Button and you are done.
If This Method doesn't worked for you and you are getting errors then read the Second method Below:
Method 2: With Atom Sitemap
In this method, we will add the atom Sitemap to the google search console. Follow the below steps to add the sitemap:
Step 1 : Sign in to Google Search console
Step 2 : Select your Website for which you want to submit the sitemap
Step 3 : Go to Sitemaps section.
Step 4 : and there add the your homepage URL ending with the below code:
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
for Example, : https://BloggingSketch.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
Note: the '500' in this code represents the number of posts your blog is getting indexed. If you have more than 500 posts, then you have to enter the same code by replacing the '1' with '501' and '500' with '1000'.
for example: atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=1000
